Once your initial evaluation is complete, your evaluating BCBA will determine the recommended hours that your child needs based on challenging behaviors, skill deficits, previous learning history, and other supports (including school and outside therapies or activities).

Your BCBA may recommend between 5-40 hours per week.

A typical ABA session is between 2- 4 hours long. If your child is receiving full time ABA, they may have longer sessions (up to 8 hours).

We bill your insurance for services and your individual cost may depend on your Deductible, Out of Pocket Max, Co-Pays, etc.

ABA is an individualized therapy; however, there will be a balance of "work" and natural teaching- usually through play. Each session is tailored to the child's specific needs and the family's goals.

ABA is an individualized therapy. Each plan is tailored to the child's needs, challenging behaviors and family goals. Some things that we can address in ABA include:

  • Communication (requesting, labeling, and alternative communication methods)
  • Social Skills (peer interactions and play, responding to questions, conversational skills, non-verbal social skills)
  • Independence (toileting, dressing, chores, etc)
  • Desensitization (accepting brushing teeth, haircuts, cutting nails, doctor apt., dentist apt., etc.)
  • Play Skills (expanding play skills to new toys/games, age appropriate play skills, etc)
  • Coping Skills
  • Challenging Behaviors (Inappropriate tantrums, hitting, biting, self-injury like head hitting,  throwing, etc)
